STRONG & ADAPTABLE is a website for anyone with a body!

Here the strength and adaptability of the human body is highlighted and celebrated. For too long we have been told that our bodies are weak and fragile, that they need protecting and looking after.

Messages such as:

“lift with your knees” ….. “don’t slouch” ….. “be careful of your back”

have led to millions of us feeling fragile, scared of moving and even stopping doing the things we enjoy. It does not have to be this way!

We challenge this view because millions of years of evolution have led to a body that is robust and capable of amazing things. It is designed to move, to bend, twist, lift, dance and run. It is capable of recovering from major illness and injury and achieving things you might never have believed possible. But all this starts with your understanding and beliefs.

If you understand that your body can handle pretty much anything you chose to do then you’re free to do anything you want to!

If you know that pain does not equal damage then you gain the confidence to keep moving and continue doing the things you love.

STRONG & ADAPTABLE is here to provide sensible and scientific information to help you better understand your body. Knowledge really is power when it comes to your health.
